What is the purpose of the band?

Purpose, main Objective, and Message of the Band "Psychedelic Cosmic Ride" Something we found interesting about the band is that they have a clear purpose for their music. They want their music to make people feel, to evoke emotions. The reason why this is really important to understand their relationship with music is that it permeates the whole of their creative and production processes. From the process of writing the lyrics to the act of performing on stage what they constantly try to accomplish is for their work to transmit feelings and emotions.  Making reference to the creative processes they carry out to produce music Pablo said that "the music is a pure expression of them as persons" and also expressed it is as if they were "in another dimension, where there's no symbols, no images, just music". The reason why those statements are so important and even shocking is that they helped us, as interviewers, to understand both how they communicate ...

They compose their songs as a band, which means that all of them have an active participation in the decisions related to their new creations. Those changes on the tempo are one of the main characteristics of  Psychedelic Cosmic Ride, those changes are the result of the combination of different rhythms in their songs like punk, reggae and rock. About the instruments the band plays, there can be found a bass, an electronic guitar, drums, a piano and accompanying these instruments there can de found the singers of the band. According to what Pablo Argote said in the interview t...

Their music and Society; Psychedelic cosmic ride.

"As music is humanly organized sound, there must be some relationship between patterns of social human organization and the patterns of sound produced as the result of human interaction." Blacking (1973) What Blacking explains is a certain way to undertand the reflection of music in society, nevertheless, as a group, we have considered that there might be some different ways to understand the reflection of music. When someone hears about a "valledupar's band" the first thing that might come to their minds is Vallenato music;"acordeones, guacharas y La caja" which is basically the group of instruments required to make this kind of music. However, when you get to meet to Psychedelic cosmic ride, you will find natives vallenatos who love to write rock, punk and psychedelic funk songs. In the interview, Pablo (a member of the band) defined its music gender as "hardcore, bone-crunching, pshychedelic sex-funk from heaven, that answer...
